Join a local Freecycle group
The Freecycle Network is free to join and a great way of keeping unwanted items out of landfill. Whether it's a sofa, video recorder or an old bath you may be able to give your unwanted goods a new home in your local area.
Visit the Freecycle website to find your nearest Freecycle Community. There are many across Cheshire.
Once you've joined you simply send an email with details of your unwanted item to your Freecycle community and the people who are interested will email you back.
There are clear rules:
- everything must be free, legal and appropriate for all ages, and
- there are some good manners that need to be practised.
Apart from that, it's about creating a community that wants to help each other while helping the environment.
